Aid to the developing world from Hastings area churches

Adrian Tate died in March 2020 and left a legacy to Loaf Project - a local Charity which he had supported during his life. We received the sum of £38,917.14 in June 2022.

At the trustees meeting after much consideration, it was agreed that £18,000 would be sent to Bishop Ken Barham to support his school building programme.

This money was reported to have successfully arrived in Rwanda and Ken has been in contact with the John, the builder, whose daughter had agreed to send us photos of progress and to create and mount the appropriate plaque in memory of Adrian.

£18,000 would also be sent to Dr. Shakil Malik in Pakistan to purchase 2 vehicles to help with transportation of his patients who are unable to travel to the Centre for Profound Learning in Islamabad. After many difficulties with the bank this money was finally received and the minibuses purchased; we have received photos of these when they were purchased and with the dedication on them.

Our grateful thanks go to Adrian’s nephews who have facilitated this bequest.
